Having a baby is a life-changing experience and it also means lots of changes to your body during pregnancy. The changes that happen are different for every woman and what you feel will change throughout the term of your pregnancy. Don’t worry if you are not experiencing these symptoms. Everybody’s pregnancy is different.
The first things you will notice are that your monthly Period stops, you may have some nausea, a bit of soreness in your breasts and you may be a bit tired. These are all the signs of being pregnant. If you are worried, talk to your doctor.
For a lot of women, as the baby starts to grow faster, they experience food cravings – everything from sugars to red meat to seafood – even foods you never considered before. This is your body trying to find the right nutrients to help you and your baby grow.
At around week 9 or 10 you will start to plump up around your stomach, legs and chest, and often veins become more pronounced in these areas too. This is your body preparing to carry your precious baby.
Late in pregnancy, the weight and maybe the baby’s kicking will make it difficult to sleep comfortably. Leaky breasts, sore legs and lethargy are normal towards full term. The kicking is a good sign of an active baby – and every baby is different – some kick a lot and others are quieter.

Throughout the pregnancy, many times, most mothers feel nervous or have doubts and this is very normal. Make sure you keep talking to your doctor, family and friends for reassurance.
